Armenia is a small country east of Turkey, at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, with a modest population of just under 3 million (as of 2017). The terrain of the country is mostly mountainous, with some flat areas of land and flowing rivers.
As one of the most well-travelled items in history, it is not surprising that some bottles of wine have been shipwrecked. Luckily, over the years, a few bottles have been recovered from the seabed, allowing expert sommeliers to get a taste of the sea-aged wines.
